Recipe: Frozen Watermelon Mules

I genuinely lost it when I came across this recipe for Frozen Watermelon Mules. I already love Moscow Mules so much, and separately I love watermelon, and everything frozen, and then combining all three?? My goodness, hold me back. Or don’t…

Say frozen [fill in any cocktail] and I’m sold, ever since I drank the most delicious frozen margaritas of my adult life in an unremarkable little Mexican restaurant in LA. And I never turn down a frozen daiquiri either, so as far as I’m concerned, the hero who came up with these frozen boozy beauties deserves a statue. Super easy to make, too!
How to make Frozen Watermelon Mules
- Put the watermelon cubes in a container or bag in the freezer for 2 hours.
- Then put them in the blender with the ginger beer, vodka and lime juice, and blend until thick and slushy.
- In the meantime, add as many ice cubes as needed through the hole in the lid to achieve your desired thickness.
- Pour into 4 glasses, or, if you have them, copper Mule mugs, and garnish with mint leaves and lime slices.
- Cheers to spring!
