Recipe: sea bass with caper butter

Looking for an incredibly delicious and easy fish recipe? We’ve got one for you! This is a wonderfully simple dish to prepare: most of the effort goes into finding good, fresh fish, which you briefly fry in the pan until crispy and serve with a simple caper butter.

Capers, the little sour flavor bombs packed with flavor that give countless dishes an extra kick. We absolutely love the combination of fish with crispy capers. But our little green friends are also indispensable with Vitello Tonnato, Steak Tartare and Caponata. Caper butter with sea bass: yum!
How to make sea bass with caper butter
- Heat the butter in a small saucepan and fry the capers in it. Then add the herbs and fry briefly. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Pat the sea bass dry and season generously with pepper and salt. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large pan until very hot. Fry the fish skin-side down in the pan for approximately 4–6 minutes. Then turn the fish over and fry the other side for another 1–2 minutes.
- Remove the sea bass from the pan and let it rest briefly on a board. Then divide the fillets between the plates, add the lemon juice and serve with the caper butter.

This fish is delicious served with a fresh salad, alongside grilled courgette, with roasted potatoes and with delicious frozen green beans.
