Senang Zwolle by Jonnie and Thérèse Boer awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin

Shortly after the hospitality industry reopened following the pandemic, Jonnie and Thérèse Boer of De Librije*** opened their Asian restaurant and lounge Senang Zwolle. And hooray: this establishment has been awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin.

Senang is the Malay word for ‘feeling good’. And that is certainly how we feel at the Oriental restaurant Senang Zwolle. Because besides the excellent food, from Japanese yakitori to Indonesian rendang, it offers excellent value for money. That is why Senang Zwolle has been included in the latest 2023 Michelin Guide with a Bib Gourmand distinction.
Senang in Bonaire
The star-studded couple already has a Senang location in Bonaire. Two years ago, Senang Zwolle opened on Nieuwe Markt. Senang offers lunch and dinner. Jonnie and Thérèse Boer are incredibly proud of the distinction. ‘We didn’t expect this to happen so soon. With the past few years still fresh in our minds, offering good value for money is a huge challenge. This is a wonderful confirmation that our team is making the right choices’.
Michelin on Senang Zwolle
‘This colourful restaurant is a melting pot of impressions, and that is reflected on the plate as well. The menu brings together dishes from the Near, Middle and Far East’, according to Michelin’s jury report.
The full selection for the 2023 Michelin Guide will be announced next Monday. Earlier this week, some stars were leaked (again!), but that turned out to be fake news.
