Snackspert is absolutely thrilled: this sandwich is amazing, and at that price!

broodje grillworst Kaddour

Tip: get that grilled sausage sandwich as quickly as you can.

Kapsalon salad from Lidl

At long last, I saw this greatest creation since the iPhone sitting in Lidl. A kapsalon salad! It can’t get any crazier. I have previously criticized the sparerib salad and the frikandel special salad, but that doesn’t mean this kapsalon salad should already be banned by law. Quite the contrary. I loathe myself, because I’m about to say the following: I actually quite like it. And no, it’s not as if I have COVID now and have lost my sense of taste, because I’ve already been through that period of COVID without smell or taste and I really am sure. But to remain critical: look, it doesn’t taste like the kapsalon. I obviously miss the fries, and I miss a strong presence of garlic sauce, but the other ingredients are there. Well-seasoned chicken, tasty little pieces of tomato and cucumber throughout, and I think the addition of pickled pearl onions is brilliant. The inventor of the kapsalon will probably file a complaint against this product, but I do love this kind of crazy nonsense. Now add one more Better Life star and it’s something you could serve your child every Saturday morning before their football match. That way, we’re all continuing to contribute to a beautiful society, right? ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Chickpea sandwich from Jumbo

No guys, please don’t panic, there aren’t any ants on my sandwich. No, those are black sesame seeds and they wouldn’t hurt a fly. Just like the entire chickpea sandwich from Jumbo that I spotted recently, I hadn’t seen this one before. And you know what? It’s also a nice snack for in between meals. The sandwich is filled with chickpeas (WELL, DUH) and some tomato sauce, which makes for a lovely flavor combination. Even though it’s not the kind of snack you would tell absolutely everyone about at a house party tonight, it is the kind of snack you pick up while doing some grocery shopping and thinking: hey there, hunger. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chicken grilled sausage sandwich from Slagerij Kaddour, Amsterdam

Right, pay attention now. This is a matter of life and death. Sure, I could now tell you a whole story about why the cabinet formation is taking so long, but that is absolutely no use to you. This is what you can actually use: the chicken grilled sausage sandwich with cheese from Slagerij Kaddour. They have locations in Amsterdam-Noord, IJburg, and Osdorp. And it’s a massive sandwich. The kind of massive sandwich that even the fire brigade could be jealous of. This is seriously one of the best grilled sausage sandwiches I’ve had in ages, mainly because it isn’t served on one of those bone-dry, rock-hard bread rolls, but on a baguette. Which is also wonderfully soft, but not too soft. And then there’s the juiciness of the chicken. That kind of dripping melted cheese to get worked up over. This really is an almost perfect sandwich; next time, put a bit more sauce on it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
