Instagram phenomenon @snackspert, known in mayonnaise as Eke Bosman, is our go to guy for the very best snack tips. When he says where to eat the best pork belly fries, we’re already on our way. Delicious news from our snack crack: after a successful frikandel pizza in collaboration with Domino’s, he has now created a limited-edition burger with Korean Fried Chicken chain Gochu Gang.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and developing a burger like this also requires plenty of creativity. After several extensive taste tests and countless food combinations, this Snackspert burger emerged as the favorite. A few days ago, he shouted his enthusiasm from the (social) rooftops: ‘I’M LAUNCHING MY OWN BURGER!!!’

What can you expect from Snackspert’s burger?

What makes this burger so special? The chicken is fried twice and coated in sauce. In classic Snackspert style (but not so classic Korean Fried Chicken style), this burger contains a delicious layer of melted cheddar cheese. In addition, a special extra ingredient has been added. On Instagram, he asked his followers about this secret ingredient. Suggestions included cinnamon, chips, kimchi, Zaanse mayo, lime and gochujang.

None of those were right. The secret ingredient is pickled red onion. It not only gives the burger a delicious flavor, but also a fresh texture. Snackspert developed this pickled onion in collaboration with Kesbeke.

Different sauce options

There are also three different sauce options for the burger coating to choose from. Snackspert’s Korean Fried Chicken burger can be ordered online via Thuisbezorgd and Uber Eats at all 35 Gochu Gang locations from Wednesday, June 19. With more than 35 locations, this is one of the fastest-growing delivery chains in the Netherlands. Be quick, though, because this is a limited edition that will be gone after two months.
