Snackspert makes a case for the shawarma roll

Instagram phenomenon @snackspert, known in mayonnaise-dipped circles as Eke Bosman, makes a case for the shawarma roll. At our editorial office, it is also known as the ‘heartburn roll’. But then we’ve probably never tasted a really good one.

A crispy roll filled with (chicken, pork, beef or lamb) meat, seasoned with shawarma spices and wrapped in a crispy coating. Are you already salivating? Snackspert gets it.
Shawarma roll
I wrote earlier on @pshetparool: do yourself a favour and get a shawarma roll, also the title of my next carnival hit with an as-yet-unknown DJ who can actually make music. Anyway, I’d like to urge you all to get a shawarma roll more often. Because this snack deserves it; it may well be one of the most underrated snacks from the snack bar. At the very charming snack bar Etenstijd Lunch & Business in Amsterdam, you can get one with homemade garlic sauce—a major plus. The shawarma is tender inside, well seasoned, and the crispy jacket is great. The downside is that, in my opinion, it could be much bigger, because if you’re craving shawarma, you’re either drunk or very hungry. You know what I mean. Nevertheless: what a snack. Let’s make sure this one never disappears. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
