Snackspert: “This is the best meatball sandwich ever”

Snackspert lekkerste broodje bal

Eke Bosman, better known as Instagram phenomenon @snackspert, ate his first frikandel as a baby, hates vlammetjes, has already devoured at least 1,000 burgers in his lifetime, suspects there is more mayonnaise in his body than blood, and shares his snack reviews on FavorFlav every other week. This time with 1 winner and a whole lot of misery.

The best meatball sandwich ever from Fa. Koopman, Amsterdam

Corona really kicked us in the balls this year, but guys, 2021 is coming and then we’re really going to grab everything by the balls, and I want to recommend that you get a head start now: go to Fa. Koopman on the Elandsgracht in Amsterdam. Because there I ate, no joke—I’m as serious as Bridget Maasland on The Weakest Link—the best meatball sandwich ever (thanks for the tip @monicageuze, seriously, thank you). And why? It’s the most tender, juiciest, most flavorful meatball ever. And then on a nice, crispy white bread roll that also has mayonnaise spread on it. I was happier than ever. And you can be too. Grab life by the balls. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tomato frankfurter soup

Tomato frankfurter soup. You read that right. Frankfurters in tomato soup, because we are, after all, living in 2020 and these days we can hold meetings via our laptops—so why can’t pieces of frankfurters be put in tomato soup and then sold in the supermarket? Well, because it’s unbelievably disgusting. Seriously, unbelievably vile. The frankfurters are incredibly bitter, the tomato soup is floppier than the average dishcloth, and then there’s that “packed with vegetables” claim, right? That’s just pure poison. It genuinely tastes of nothing. I’d much rather watch the Twilight films four more times than have to eat another one of these soups. Or no, even stronger: I’d bet that the grossest porn film you’ve ever seen still has better chemistry between the two actors than this combination of tomato soup and frankfurters. This is a really terrible product, I’m sorry, I’m just angry. ⭐️

Sicilian Meatlovers pizza, New York Pizza

Yes, I know, I know: when you order from New York Pizza, you of course don’t get a real Italian pizza, but with the Sicilian Meatlovers I had to blink three times to read that it contained BBQ sauce and chorizo. What do BBQ sauce and chorizo have to do with Sicily? That’s like Frank de Boer suddenly calling up Lionel Messi for the Dutch national team because, well, he’s suddenly Dutch, man. A bit strange, then, but maybe it’s just me. But what is really clear is that this pizza is a complete disappointment. BBQ sauce with bacon? I get it. But adding chorizo makes for a very strange, mismatched flavor combination that also leaves a weird, bland aftertaste. Look, you do eat it, but that’s the advantage of fast-food pizzas: even when they’re disgusting, you eat them. But order it again? Nah. ⭐️⭐️
