Coca-Cola is constantly working on new ideas and flavors, and according to a company bigwig in America, this is one of its most successful ideas. The super cola is already on the market in Japan and Brazil, and will soon conquer the United States. ‘It’s a forerunner in a new category of drinks, which we call refreshment coffee,’ says Jaideep Kibe.

Having a taste

A culinary journalist in America was allowed to try a few cans in advance. ‘It simply tastes like cola, with just as much fizz,’ we read. ‘But as if coffee candies had been dissolved in it. It doesn’t really taste like coffee.’ He also tastes some sweetener in the cola’s aftertaste, and that’s correct; this cola contains less sugar than regular cola because artificial sweetener and a sugar substitute have been added.

Energy drink

Never sleep again? Each can contains 69 milligrams of caffeine; regular cola has 34 milligrams and Diet Coke 46 milligrams. Recommended maximum: 400 milligrams of caffeine per day. An espresso contains 130 milligrams. Energy drinks contain approximately 80 milligrams of caffeine per can.
