Take action quickly: invent an Easter egg with your egg-cellent flavor
Red is plain and yellow is white, and the blue ones are the first to run out: Easter eggs used to be soooo boring. In recent years, the flavors have become increasingly creative: Easter eggs with alcohol, such as the Baileys Easter egg, sour candy belts, gevulde koek, speculoos and even Easter egg pizza (not recommended, by the way). What flavor do you think would make a delicious egg?
A bag of Easter eggs from Jumbo looks like a bag of marbles: all cheerfully colored and speckled. And the colors of the foil give no clue whatsoever about what’s inside. Dark brown with yellow speckles? Could just as easily contain a white chocolate egg. Pink with yellow is definitely milk chocolate with sweet popping candy. And at the bottom of the bowl are the blue wrappers of the dark chocolate-cappuccino eggs, because by far they’re the favorites in our house.
Not in time for Easter
Time for renewal, thinks Jumbo, and the supermarket is challenging everyone to come up with their own favorite Easter egg flavor. It won’t work out for Easter this year, but next year it could be part of the mix. Is there already a marshmallow egg? Dark chocolate with orange crisp? Or white chocolate with rose petals? Bastogne biscuit? Your submission has to be in by Wednesday, so you don’t have much time to think.
