These Were the Best Happy Meal Toys Ever
Going to McDonald’s was such a treat back in the day. Of course, I always went for the Happy Meal, and I was slightly jealous of my older brother, who was already allowed to have a Big Mac Menu — I was still too young for that. But hey, I got a toy with mine and he didn’t, so in the end I was still happy. Because those Happy Meal gifts were the ultimate highlight every time. And incredibly exciting, because you never knew what you were going to get.
Unfortunately, that also meant I was disappointed quite a few times, because I’d get one I already had or one I really didn’t want. But hey, I think everyone’s been there. These days I never get a Happy Meal anymore, but that would immediately change if they brought these toys back. The good old days.
The Best Happy Meal Toys of All Time
1. Furbies
Real Furbies were so ridiculously expensive that my parents would never have bought me one, so I had to make do with this version. Good enough.
2. Teeny Beanies
Did “too many cuddly toys” even exist back then? Absolutely not. The more, the better.
3. Disney Masterpiece
As a massive Disney fan, this was obviously one huge celebration for me. Honestly: if these came back, I’d enthusiastically collect them all over again.
4. Tamagotchi Keychain
I was so addicted to my Tamagotchi, it was unreal. At some point they were banned in my class, which meant my virtual pet bit the dust. I’m still furious about it.
5. Hello Kitty
Well, this one is simply adorable, isn’t it? It makes me so greedy.
6. Pokéballs
Pokémon was seriously the coolest thing at my primary school back then… But it still is. This would be a massive hit again in 2022.
