This restaurant has the best vegan menu in the world

You may have already seen it online: Humus x Hortense in Brussels is supposedly the best vegan restaurant in the world. All very nice, but after taking a look at the menu, that seems a little exaggerated. They have the best vegan menu. Which is also very nice.

Former chef of Michelin-starred restaurant Syre Pinnock and vegetable chef Frank Fol organize the search for the world’s best vegetable restaurant every year. This year, he and his team examined eight hundred restaurants with a vegetable menu from thirty-eight countries. In their green guide, you can find the top hundred.
Humus x Hortense
The restaurant Humus x Hortense is therefore the restaurant with the best vegan menu. It is not exclusively vegan, but you can ask for a completely vegan menu. Chef Nicolas Decloedt works with vegetables from his own garden and local products. The beers are local, and the wines and cocktails are all natural.
The same story actually applies to the number one on the list. AD calls Xavier Pellicer the best vegetarian restaurant in the world, but chef Xavier also simply serves a bowl of fish soup. This restaurant has, however, had the best vegetable menu in the world for the second year in a row. ‘Chef Xavier’s plant-based preparations are even more creative and refined than anything he had made before. Anyone who cooks gastronomic plant-based food at such a high level deserves this title for the second time.’
In the Netherlands, you can go to de Librije by Jonnie and Thérèse Boer, at number nine (that is only fitting with three stars), and Spectrum by chef Sidney Schutte, at number sixteen, for the best vegetable menus.
