This wine-roll drinking game will be the hit of Christmas
Christmas at last, but how? Minimal visitors, maximum lethargy, and a house where you’ve spent pretty much 24/7 over the past few months. Luckily, here’s a wine drinking game that will brighten up your entire Christmas. You’ll need: two toilet rolls, two glasses, and wine—lots of wine.
We’ve already sung TikTok’s praises at length. Kitchen hacks that leave you speechless, the funniest chefs, and hilarious videos; it really is the kind of digital rabbit hole you can disappear into for hours. And this party game also comes from the platform. Who came up with it? No idea, but our compliments, because something this simple and fun at the same time—that’s just brilliant!
Roll it up, drink it down
How does the wine Christmas drinking game work? You’ll need: two wine glasses, two toilet rolls and a bottle of wine. Unroll the toilet rolls a fair bit, at least four metres (how big is your living room? Take that into account). Lay the toilet paper lengthwise across the room. Note: don’t tear it off! Place a full glass of wine at the end of each roll. Now each participant has to carefully, very carefully, roll the paper up until the wine glass is within reach. The first person to finish their glass wins! Don’t roll too quickly, or you’ll knock over the wine; don’t roll too slowly, or you’ll never get a sip of wine.
Carpet as a handicap
People with carpet on the floor are doubly disadvantaged here—poor gliding ability and the risk of stains—but that only makes the game more exciting. Not working? Get the shuffleboard down from the attic, and roll your toilet paper over that. Then you can play a round of shuffleboard afterwards, which is also fun if you’ve knocked back two glasses of wine in no time. And on New Year’s Eve: champagne rolling. Party!
