Want to try them: Zeeman’s chocolate croissant-flavored marshmallows
We always thought that it was mainly Xenos and Action that came up with the crazy products. Drinks with birthday cake flavor, for example, or gummy bears covered in chocolate. Typically the kind of things you first stare at with big question marks, only to secretly find them pretty tasty after all. Now Zeeman is coming up with something like that too: chocolate croissant-flavored marshmallows.
I don’t know about you, but this makes me want to run to my favorite budget store right now.
Everything croissant
Croissants have been totally hip in the world of supermarket product innovation lately anyway. There was already a chocolate bar with croissant flavor and croissant ice cream, both from Crisp. We thought (and still think!) they were absolutely heaven. So these chocolate croissant-flavored marshmallows from Zeeman can’t be anything other than delicious. Because to make things even better: they actually contain a liquid center of chocolate spread. Literally a chocolate croissant in marshmallow form.
Livingproef’s honest review
Livingproef, that fun supermarket product testing team on Instagram, put them to the test this week. Disappointingly, they weren’t wildly enthusiastic about them. Yes, about the chocolate spread in the middle, of course—that’s everyone. They called that genuinely innovative. But the quality of the marshmallow itself was simply very disappointing. According to the Livingproef team, less-than-great ingredients were used to make this product. Meh. Still, that won’t stop me from bringing some home soon. I simply can’t get the idea of a chocolate croissant in the shape of a marshmallow out of my head.
Also at Zeeman: soft-serve marshmallows
Those who are croissant-weary can also try the soft-serve marshmallows. They literally come in the shape and flavor of a soft-serve ice cream. But honestly, this isn’t as new as the chocolate croissant marshmallow. Do we still want them? I think the answer is clear.
More marshmallows?
Marshmallow maniacs can indulge, because there’s plenty to make with this little sugar bomb. What you absolutely want to do: bake marshmallow cheesecake. Because it’s cheesecake with marshmallows on top—no further explanation needed, I think. Also delicious and incredibly fun: Flugel marshmallow shots.
