You can tell exactly where someone is from by these 9 brands

Some brands or products can be a source of national pride, or at least something that the country of origin can always be associated with. Aren’t you secretly at least a little proud when you hear that Heineken is known and celebrated as ‘that Dutch beer’ even in the farthest corners of the world? (Nothing against our other great beer brands, of course!). And when you see a whole range of products, you can often immediately name the country they come from…

That’s why the platform Bored Panda called on readers to use a photo of an iconic product to ask the question, ‘Without naming your country, which brand shows where you’re from?’ and the entries were both recognizable and, in some cases, funny! We would have found it even more fun if they had really been only photos of food or drinks, but this is still a good game:
Ikea
Those iconic blue and yellow colors, which are immediately synonymous with Swedish meatballs too!

Guinness
With such a thick, creamy head of foam; fortunately, it’s also well represented in all the Irish pubs our country is blessed with…

Lego
When you’ve just stepped barefoot on one of those miserable little pieces while swearing, you really don’t want to think about Denmark. But then you think of Noma! (And then about your piggy bank again.)

Volkswagen
Don’t get behind the wheel with a few pints of beer in your belly, but do have a few German currywurst within easy reach.

Cadbury Creme Eggs
I didn’t know what these were until I married into an English family. But Creme Eggs are a hit there; this is a Halloween version. WRAAAAHHH!
Havaianas
Strolling along Ipanema Beach with a sway in your hips, flip-flops in hand. Yes, men, you too. Off to a cocktail at a truly Brazilian little bar!

Philips
This immediately makes a light bulb go on, right? Although of course this should have been a photo of an Airfryer, come on!

Heineken
The green gold? The golden green? Either way, deliciously clear and very Dutch! And the alcohol-free ones are a huge hit too.

Toblerone
Not only ideal as a little bar between the groceries for the next customer, but also good for the funniest answer to where you’re from if you come from Toblerone country: ‘The airport?’
