These desserts are ready in no time

You spend hours in the kitchen making that amazing main course. But once it’s gone, you suddenly feel like something sweet and have very little desire to cook anymore. These desserts are on the table in the blink of an eye.

Crumble
Make sure you always have fruit in the freezer, because then you can always whip up a quick crumble. A stray apple or pear works too. Season the fruit with sugar and a pinch of salt. Add a little lemon to blueberries, apple pairs well with cinnamon, and pear with cardamom. Add a quick crumble topping and slide it straight into the oven. Why not try this pear crumble?
Affogato
Officially, this dessert is made with zabaione ice cream, but when a sudden sweet craving hits, we often just reach for the vanilla ice cream that’s always in the freezer. A generous scoop in a glass, a shot of hot espresso, and your affogato is ready. Another super-fast sweet coffee fix: this ridiculously easy coffee mousse.
Grilling fruit
Peach, apricot, plum or pear—all become extra sweet and soft when you grill them briefly. Whether you do this in a pan or in the oven is up to you; you can also simply fry them briefly. Just make sure to add a creamy component. Think mascarpone with a little vanilla and sugar, a spoonful of Greek yogurt with some honey, or simply a scoop of ice cream. If you happen to have almonds, hazelnuts or pistachios somewhere at home, add those too.
Puff pastry
Place it on sugared apples for a quick tarte tatin. Or make these mini tarts with plums, honey and black pepper. In principle, you can use almost any fruit to create a delicious puff pastry tart.
