10 cheap favorite products from Jumbo

Every supermarket has those treats you just can’t get enough of. And when they’re also dirt-cheap, it’s even more of a party. These are our favorite cheap ass snacks from Jumbo. Do you know them already?

Pita Jalapeño cheese
The ultimate hangover food or simply delicious as a snack, this pita with cheese and Jalapeño. Deliciously gooey with a spicy kick—just what you need to feel human again. Rendang bapao
Bapao is heavenly as it is, especially with rendang as the filling. And Jumbo happens to sell them for just €1.15 each. Stock up!

Apple pie
We wrote about it before in FavorFlav tests supermarket apple pie. Jumbo’s apple pie is truly a winner. ‘If you were served this pie in a café, you’d think they’d baked it themselves.’ You can try it for €4.19, and it’s definitely worth it!

Egg cakes
I love egg cakes—their light texture and sweet flavor, mmm. And Jumbo has some really delicious egg cakes in its range that are also dirt-cheap: 10 for €0.82. Definitely worth adding to your basket!
Peanut cookies with milk chocolate
They’re certainly not healthy, but they are delicious. These peanut cookies with a layer of milk chocolate—my mouth waters just looking at them. They cost next to nothing: €1.48.

We love chips. Plain, paprika chips, wasabi chips, Joppie fries, you name it, we devour it. Jumbo’s Bikkels Blocks are everything you expect from chips: crunchy, flavorful and truly addictive. One for every finger. €0.94 for a little bag.

I want to spare you this because this is, in one word: delicious. This pizza pane with bell pepper and red onion. Warm it up in the oven and your delicious pizza pane with bell pepper and red onion is ready. Easy does it for €2.29.

These were my favorite as a child, and whenever I see them, they come straight home with me. These bags of chocolate-covered eggs are the boss; you can try them for €1.59.

Popcorn—we can’t get enough of it. Especially not Jumbo’s caramel popcorn. A nice change from classic sweet and salty popcorn. A bag of caramel popcorn costs €1.19. The only downside: it keeps getting stuck between your teeth. But hey, we’re willing to put up with that.

Jumbo dessert ginger bread
I saw this at Jumbo and had to try it. It’s insanely good. Cinnamon mousse with a gingerbread base containing alcohol. A true guilty pleasure v for Saturday night—and for just—hold your horses: €0.99.
