I want that too—that could make traveling through the land of the rising sun and eternal appetite even more amazing! Unfortunately, it’s not that easy, says a language expert. ‘Some people will need five years to be able to read a magazine in Japanese, while others still won’t have made it through a children’s book after ten years of language study.’ If you wait until you speak Japanese fluently, it will take quite a while. Maybe just books, then?
