You can get all the alcoholic refreshments at Gall & Gall. If you’re shopping there anyway, pick up their advent calendar too. You can open your own minibar with it—but one that’s much better than the one you find in the average hotel room.

1. Hot Toddy with Don Papa rum

Crazy about Christmas, but also think the idea of being on a tropical island sounds pretty good? The Hot Toddy cocktail with Don Papa rum gives you both. Don Papa is one of our favorite rums anyway. We regularly make the Darker Don and Orchard Old Fashioned with Don Papa Baroko when we want to mentally escape the harsh Dutch weather for a while. If your overenthusiastic uncle suggests going for a Christmas walk and the weather takes on typically Dutch proportions, this is the Hot Toddy with Don Papa rum you want to make. Here’s how:

  • Add 45 ml of Don Papa rum, 1 tablespoon of honey and a slice of lemon to a cup of hot water.
  • Stir well.
  • Add a cinnamon stick for extra flavor and aroma.

2. Ginger Jim Beam Bourbon Punch

Nothing says festive quite like a punch! It’s much better known in America than it is here, although your parents and grandparents probably had it on the table at some point too. We’re bringing an old tradition back to life. This sweet, spicy and slightly fruity Ginger Jim Beam Bourbon Punch is the perfect drink for a day spent together at Christmas. Jim Beam is a wood-aged bourbon with a full body and a complex, refined flavor; ideal as the base for your punch. Here’s how to make this festive Christmas drink:

  • Fill a glass with ice.
  • Mix 45 ml of Jim Beam bourbon with 90 ml of ginger ale in the glass.
  • Finally, add a splash of cranberry juice.

3. Christmas Spritz with Cointreau

A kind of Aperol Spritz, but dressed up in a Christmas-inspired style. And, well… Who doesn’t love an Aperol Spritz? That drink takes you straight to the ski slopes in your mind. This Christmas Spritz with Cointreau also creates a wintry atmosphere, but the cozy kind: curled up by the fireplace, digesting after an endlessly multi-course Christmas dinner. This Cointreau with its orange flavor—a truly wintry aroma—is responsible for that. Here’s how to make a Christmas Spritz with Cointreau:

  • Fill a glass with ice, 45 ml of Cointreau, a splash of sparkling water and a splash of prosecco.
  • Garnish with a slice of orange.

4. X-mas Martini with Baileys

Looking for a delicious way to finish your Christmas dinner? Surprise your guests with this X-mas Martini with Baileys. Because the Baileys makes this drink deliciously creamy and slightly chocolatey, it’s like a drinkable dessert—but only for all the over-18s at the Christmas table. Here’s how to make it:

  • Shake 50 ml of Baileys with 30 ml of vodka and ice.
  • Pour into a martini glass.
  • Garnish with a little cinnamon powder or a sprig of mint.

5. Winter Mule with Grey Goose vodka

A Moscow Mule actually tastes wonderfully summery because of the lime, ginger and mint. Still, it’s very easy to give this drink a wintry twist too. And suddenly it’s perfect as part of your Christmas celebrations! You make this cocktail with Grey Goose vodka, a premium vodka from the Cognac region in western France. Great bonus: quality Grey Goose vodka won’t give you such a terrible hangover. We love that, especially if you still have some Christmas activities planned. Here’s how to make the Winter Mule:

  • Pour 50 ml of vodka and 120 ml of ginger beer over ice in a tin mug.
  • Add a splash of lime juice.
  • Garnish with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint.
