Albert Heijn expands free delivery service AH Compact—does your delivery area also make the list?
Last year, Albert Heijn launched a new delivery service, AH Compact, specifically for small households. And the good news is: this free delivery service is now being rolled out to several more delivery areas. Is yours one of them?
I’ll admit it straight away: I hate grocery shopping. Unlike some colleagues in the editorial team, who love spending hours wandering around the supermarket among unfamiliar shelves filled with potential gems. I understand that it can actually be quite fun abroad (my overflowing spice cupboard is the main proof of that), and I also find an Asian supermarket very satisfying (favorite: Tjin’s!). But another trip around Albert Heijn (where it’s always absolutely freezing, why?) feels like a waste of my precious time. So a free delivery service? Yes please!
AH Compact
If you use AH Compact, you can choose from an assortment of almost 5,000 products, including plenty of fresh items and the familiar Price Favorites. All prices are the same as in the store or via Ah.nl, including the Bonus offers. You can order through the special AH Compact app (in the App Store and Play Store). In the AH Compact app, you can track your order via track & trace. Great service, then.
AH Compact to reach 700,000 households
AH Compact is already available in several cities, but more are continually being added. Do you live in Velsen, Hoorn, Deventer, Purmerend, Edam-Volendam, Alphen aan de Rijn or Zoetermeer? Then you’re in luck: these cities have just been added to the delivery area. More new areas will follow in four weeks, bringing AH Compact’s total delivery area to 700,000 households. Download the AH Compact app and log in (or create a profile) to see whether your postcode is included too. Don’t live in the delivery area but would like to stay informed? Tick this option in the app, and you’ll receive an email as soon as they deliver to your area too.
