Big mouth? Go eat burgers in Japan!
Sometimes I’m not sure whether I should simply tackle a double cheeseburger head-on, or whether it’s better to hold my head at an angle (the way to get a taco into your mouth). Using a knife and fork is, of course, completely out of the question, but sometimes I don’t understand how anyone can take a bite out of such a whopper without everything sliding out the other side of the burger… No, and then there’s this one!
Because ‘Big in Japan’ takes on a very literal form here. Especially for people blessed with the kind of shaft that can easily accommodate a triple unit, Burger King came up with their latest monster creation: The Big Mouth Burger.
The next level
Of course, the Triple Whopper is no small fry either, and you can simply find that one here in our own little frog country. And who knows, the Cheese & Cheese Big Mouth Burger and the Super Spicy Big Mouth Burger may still have to wait a while before making a possible grand (triumphal?) journey to Europe. But let’s just regard this as a strangely impressive invention, or laugh ourselves silly at the excess of this beast!
Professional opinion
We’re very curious to know what snack pro Snackspert would think of this. We can imagine that nothing would make him happier than such a cheesy or spicy Big Mouth Burger, but sometimes Eke Bosman (his real name) can also be pretty critical…
Hope fading
To be honest, the chances of still finding these burgers are slim, even if you were to hop on a plane to Japan right this minute. This was a temporary promotion, but sometimes these are used as trial balloons to see whether something might catch on elsewhere in the world, so who knows… And if none of this becomes available in the Netherlands after all, you can always make one yourself using one of the great burger recipes or -tips from the Netherlands’ own burger hero, Jord Althuizen!
