Bizarre celebrity eating habits

celeb

Everyone knows the Elvis sandwich (loaded with bacon, banana and peanut butter). And we all know that life as a star isn’t a normal life. But we do question whether an unusual lifestyle should come with unusual eating habits. Where does Jessica Biel eat her breakfast?

Cheetos

When we think of Hollywood celebrities, we think of sushi with toro (you know, the most expensive part of the tuna), wagyu beef for lunch and champagne showers at the club. Yet model and cookbook author Cravings‘, Chrissy Teigen proves that some celebrities have stayed wonderfully normal. Because what makes her happiest is… Cheetos chips. She licks the Cheetos and then puts them back in the bag. Pretty normal indeed.

With a pinch of salt

In the ‘For God’s sake why?’ category, Jessica Alba gets first place from us. The actress prefers to drink her water with Himalayan salt. What does that mean exactly? Open your mouth. Jump into the ocean. And swallow the water. According to Alba, this is the best way to get through the day. But if that’s what it takes, we’d rather stay in bed.

Crazy Mike

We wouldn’t mind sharing a beschuitje with Magic Mike actor Channing Tatum. He prefers a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (a double layer). Not too crazy. But Tatum isn’t done stacking his sandwich yet. He adds something extra: Cheetos—the chips seem to be hugely popular in La La Land. Hmm, whether we’d still want to sit next to him… we’re not so sure.

A bow to all mothers

Jessica Biel talked about her breakfast on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon: sausage and a cup of espresso. But in the shower. ‘Why not just eat at the dining table?’ I hear you thinking. According to her, she simply doesn’t have time for that alongside motherhood. Multitasking at its finest.

Warhol

The American artist who became world-famous for his portraits of soup cans was not a big fan of haute cuisine. For years, he ate nothing but canned soup for lunch—we’re just saying. He was known for turning down fancy dinners and preferred a tasty peanut butter sandwich. Andy’s favorite outing? Birthday parties. That way he could eat birthday cake. An entire one. By himself. Goals. He also followed the self-invented Andy Warhol NYC diet. He ordered dishes he didn’t like, asked for a doggy bag and then gave the food to homeless people on the street. Maybe a little bizarre, but above all very thoughtful.

Purple

Mariah Carey’s eating habits are truly spectacular. After giving birth to her twins, the singer ate only purple food. Yup, the color purple. Plums? Eggplant? Or simply purple M&Ms and grape soda (in other words: sickly sweet blackcurrant soda)… It can’t have been a very varied diet, because there aren’t that many purple dishes.

Hot, hot, hot

Hilary Clinton likes it spicy. Very spicy. She eats at least one fresh hot pepper a day and has a fetish for jalapeños. Smart woman, that Clinton, because it turns out to be good for you too.

Maccie all day

It’s no secret that we love chicken nuggets. But Usain Bolt takes his love for these little fried nuggets of gold very far indeed. There are even rumors that he ate as many as a hundred (!) a day during the Olympic Games. Could that be his secret to winning all those gold medals?

With sprinkles?

George Washington, the first president of the United States, had a serious sweet tooth. We had no idea they already existed in the 1700s, but he loved ice cream. Lots of ice cream. In the summer of 1790, he spent two hundred dollars on it. Important to note: this was the amount ordinary people spent over their entire lifetime back then. You really have to love ice cream to spend that much.
