They have a place on stage, on the big screen and on the red carpet. But these celebrities want more. From hot sauce to cookbooks, these are our favorite celebrity food products:
Kelis
Even though Kelis brings all the boys to the yards with her milkshake, the singer has chosen to show a slightly spicier side. With her own Bounty & Full hot sauce, that is. From apricot mustard to pineapple saffron — all 100% natural. Not sure what to do with these exciting flavors? Kelis explains it all in her cookbook. Now we just have to wait until her hot sauce is also available in the Netherlands.
Jay-Z
That Jay-Z has the biggest is proven by his bubbly. His champagne house, Armand de Brignac, sells the largest champagne bottle in the world! The Midas Armand de Brignac Brut Gold is almost as tall as an average ten-year-old (in other words: almost one and a half meters tall), weighs more than forty-five kilos and holds thirty liters. The price tag is a reminder of what Jay made clear long ago: “No, you’re not on my level.” Yes, a fifty-thousand-euro bottle doesn’t exactly fit my budget either. Maybe next year, said no one ever.
Snoop Dogg
Maybe not the first person you’d think of when it comes to a celebrity cookbook. But Snoop Dogg really does have one: ‘From Crook to Cook’. Snoop tapped into his inner Martha Stewart (funny, since the two are also good friends) to create this cookbook. This cookbook really has a personality of its own (or Snoop’s): it’s funny and features unusual dishes. Because who wouldn’t want to try Snoop Doggy Dog’s mashed potatoes?
Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Jay-Z has more than just a champagne house. Together with B, he tried 22 Days Nutrition, a vegan meal service. He liked it and yes: if you like it, buy it, right? And we’re not talking about a subscription renewal, but the entire company. They were so enthusiastic about the brand that they are now partners in 22 Days Nutrition. All products from this meal service are plant based, organic and fresh. Whether they’ll also give you a Beyoncé booty remains to be seen. Hopefully, we’ll be able to order the meal service here soon too.
George Clooney
Nespresso, what else? Well, we’ll have a shot of the actor’s own tequila: Casamigos Tequila. The funny thing is that launching a tequila brand was not the intention at all. Together with his friend Rande Gerber (Cindy Crawford’s husband — speaking of celebrities), Clooney spent years perfecting their tequila. After two years and a thousand bottles, they finally succeeded. One problem: the distillery could no longer produce the tequila for those friends’ private use. They had to launch it as a brand. It turned out they had already drunk a thousand (!) bottles. But hey, perfection takes time (and apparently a whole lot of drunken nights).
Madonna
Coconut water is one of those drinks where you first have to try six different ones before finding your favorite brand. So if you’re a coconut water fan, there’s a good chance you’ve tried Vita Coco. And this brand belongs to none other than Madame X herself: Madonna. Perfect for making like a virgin piña coladas.
