Let them talk: Italian spring rolls from the Airfryer

A spring roll filled with melted cheese, spicy tomato sauce, onion and garlic — that sounds amazing, right? Absolutely, you definitely want to try these pizza spring rolls. You can deep-fry them, but if you have an Airfryer, you can make them in there too

One thing first: don’t tell Italians about this, because they’ll never look at you again — in the best-case scenario. Are you Italian, perhaps, and reading this deep-frying tip? Then please accept our sincerest apologies. No, Italian food culture is no joke, pizza is not something to mess around with, and we certainly don’t intend to ridicule age-old recipes — we wouldn’t dare. But the fact is: these pizza spring rolls are simply ridiculously delicious — and super quick to make.
Party time!
Because honestly, it’s no effort at all: two sheets of filo pastry, a spoonful of tomato sauce from a can, and then you can go wild with your favorite pizza topping. Salami, for example, or slices of ham or mushrooms. Naturally, a hefty chunk of cheese needs to go into that spring roll, along with some onion and delicious Italian herbs, but otherwise: follow your heart. Brush your spring rolls with a little beaten egg, put them in the Airfryer and eight minutes later: party time! Don’t have an Airfryer? Put your spring rolls in the oven, or lower them into the bubbling fat of your old-fashioned deep fryer. And if passionate Italians still criticize you, point out that the one and only Sophia Loren makes deep-fried pizza. So there!
