Lidl has sausages with Guinness in its range – you want these!
Pizza belongs to Italy, Ben belongs (again) with J-Lo, and beer belongs with sausages. Lidl has understood that very well, because they temporarily have sausages with Guinness beer in their range. Start the moped, race to the supermarket, buy those sausages!
Shopping in a supermarket abroad is inextricably linked to the true holiday feeling. Wandering along those shelves, sniffing all the bottles of fabric softener (what do poppies actually smell like?) and returning to the car with a bag full of bizarre cheeses, craft beers and baking mixes.
Summer holiday this year: meh. But clap your hands, because you can also go on an adventurous supermarket trip at Lidl this summer. They have themed weeks with a range that will at the very least make you curious. Earlier, the Caribbean was in the spotlight, and you could also travel to Portugal and Spain with your shopping trolley, thanks to an exuberant tapas range. And this week, Great Britain and Ireland are on the menu.
With leek
The land of the deep-fried Mars and Fish & Chips, perhaps not the first choice if you dream of delicious food and drink. Wrong, incorrect, no: there is plenty to feast on. For example, these Guinness sausages for your barbecue. The description is pleasingly brief: pork sausages with leek and Guinness. So give them a try, but they sound good!
Drive on the right
And while you’re racing through Lidl with your trolley (we drive on the right here, so keep that in mind), pick up that bag of frozen Fish & Chips too, because deep down, you want that as well. Grab a jar of chutney, shortbread for dessert (with strawberries and whipped cream, nothing wrong with that) and, for enthusiasts, some matured cheddar or a funky piece of stilton. Who says there’s nothing delicious to enjoy on the other side of the Channel?
