Ludo gets even more fun with shots
There are jigsaw puzzles with a million pieces. There are online pub quizzes. And of course, you can go for walks, bake bread, take cooking classes, order takeout. But if you’re fed up with all of that—and who isn’t—then this is your last resort. Get your bottle ready, and roll those dice.
Few games put your mood to the test quite like Ludo. It starts with setting up the board: suddenly you’re eight again, arguing with your housemates about which color you’re allowed to have (I said green first!). Those dice are always missing too. Everything’s set, let’s roll. Oh, come on, she rolls a six again straight away! An evening of swearing and cursing has begun, and sometimes it’s incredibly cathartic.
Knock it back!
This adult version of Ludo makes it slightly less awful when you get knocked off the board, because then you have to down your shot. Or are you only allowed to knock it back once your little glass has safely reached the harbor? Or do you agree that you have to down every glass you knock out? Either way, there’s little chance this board—with all its pieces—will be kicked across the room like it was back home, because that would be a waste of the booze. Right?
