McDonald’s launches Happy Meal for adults

For all Mac fans: next month, McDonald’s will be adding a Happy Meal for adults to the menu. You can choose from different types of meals – a Big Mac meal or McNuggets meal – and of course, there’s an extra included: a special collectors item toy designed by Kerwin Frost.

Smart move by McDonald’s: enticing children with a toy. The McDonald’s Happy Meal has been a huge hit since time immemorial. Because of its nostalgic appeal, the meal option is apparently so popular that even adults order such a Happy Meal. Especially for fans, McDonald’s is offering a Happy Meal with adult-sized portions next month, while stocks last. And with a collectors item for adults.

Kerwin Frost

The Happy Meal box contains a toy by American designer Kerwin Frost. His motto: ‘there’s a little mcnugget in everyone’. If you don’t know him, this street-style icon from Harlem is, among other things, a DJ, presenter and artist, and is best known for his work in fashion and music. The fact that Kerwin Frost’s creations for McDonald’s are hugely popular is clear from the merchandise he previously made for the Mac, which sold out completely.

My prediction is that the Happy Meal for adults with Kerwin Frost will be a huge success. Be quick, because the promotion is temporary. The meal is an ‘App Exclusive’ and can therefore only be ordered through the McDonald’s App.

Promotion lasts one month

The McDonald’s Happy Meal for adults costs €12.50 and is available at all McDonald’s locations from Tuesday, February 27, 2024, through March 25 (excluding the McDonald’s Schiphol Lounge location).
