McDonald’s launches new ice lollies: McFreezy

Ice cream and McDonald’s are not always an ideal combination. We previously shared the bizarre story of why the ice cream machines at McDonald’s are always broken. And the ice cream flavors at McDonald’s are not always well received either. The new McFreezies do have the potential to become a hit. The only downside is that the price is really quite high.

McDonald’s new ice lollies come in two different flavors: one with orange and one with mango/pineapple. And do you want to head straight to the nearest McDonald’s to try them? Then I have a small disappointment for you; for now, they are only available in England.

They cost £1.59 there, which works out at €1.88.

‘Far too expensive’

Many English people think this is far too expensive for the small ice lollies, judging by the comments online. The McFreezies are the size of a mini Calippo. At Jumbo, a box of 5 mini Calippo ice lollies costs €3.89. Five McFreezies cost almost ten euros. Cha-chingggg!
