Are you mainly looking forward to orange bitters and beer with friends on King’s Day? Or are you excited about the big sale of the junk from the utility room and attic? Drifting through the city in your orange outfit? You’re forgetting something: orange tompouces, because the royal celebration can only truly begin once you’ve booked a few of them. And this year, you can simply have the tastiest tompouces—the ones made by master baker Robèrt van Beckhoven—delivered to your home.
Last year, traffic chaos broke out at Robèrt’s bakery in Oisterwijk. Everyone wanted to go through the drive-through to buy those famous orange tompouces. Traffic jams, honking, panic: a complete mess. The master baker has come up with something for that: this year, he is opening two pickup locations where everyone can collect those orange treats. In Amsterdam and Den Bosch, fans can order the master’s tompouces on April 25 and 26 via the Thuisbezorgd website and app. Even better: the proceeds from this campaign will be donated to the Food Bank.
