Tasted & reviewed: Lidl’s pistachio ice cream
Summer = time for ice cream! But which supermarket ice creams are actually delicious? Last week, we tried Lidl’s donut ice creams and now we dug into the pistachio ice creams from Lidl’s freezer. Are they worth buying? We’ll tell you!
Lidl pistachio ice cream
Lidl’s pistachio ice creams are made by Gelatelli and are part of Lidl’s premium ice cream range. Besides pistachio, there’s also a caramel version and a panna cotta version. We were most curious about the first variety, because if there’s one nut that’s at least as popular as Taylor Swift, it’s the pistachio.
Crunchy pistachio pieces
A box of 4 costs €2.99. And you really get your money’s worth. Soft pistachio ice cream covered in a thin layer of chocolate sauce with a crunchy white chocolate coating containing crunchy pistachio pieces. Not too sweet, the perfect handy size, and gluten-free too. Definitely worth trying!
