The ultimate food festival guide for June

In June too, the food trucks, wheeled barbecues and great music are ready and waiting for you. Get your diary out, stretch your stomach, call your friends, because these are our favorite food and drink festivals in June.

Bacchus Wine Festival in Amsterdam, June 7 to 10 and June 14 to 16
Wine lovers, take note! The best wine festival of the year is coming up again! And for the (already) fifth edition, the festival grounds are in the familiar Amsterdamse Bos. With wines from all over the world and plenty of food trucks to line your stomach. Swirl your glass, get your feet off the ground and above all, don’t forget to bring your children, because there is a real Chateau Migraine play area. Bonus: enjoy it for even longer, as the first weekend falls during the Pentecost weekend.
Frituur Festival in Groningen, June 2
An ode to the deep fryer! At the Frituur Festival you’ll find not only your familiar bitterballen and frikandellen, but also surprisingly new fried snacks. Will the bolognaise disc become your new favorite? Check it out here.
Festival TREK in Utrecht, June 6 to 10 and in Enschede, June 14 to 16
TREK travels (get it?) throughout the country. In June, you can start by indulging in Utrecht and then continue on to Enschede.
Lepeltje Lepeltje in Zwolle, June 7 to 10
This food festival also takes place during the Pentecost weekend, so it’s a win-win situation. Here you’ll find a great mix of good food, great music, a market full of beautiful things and nature.
Gin Festival in Utrecht, Eindhoven and Rotterdam
This festival is entirely dedicated to our favorite summer drink (which secretly goes down well all year round). In June, Gin Festival can be found in Utrecht (June 7 and 8), Eindhoven (June 29) and Rotterdam (June 22). We’ve got gin in!
BonAppetito in Houten, June 21 to 23
Silent disco + food trucks… Where can we sign up? At BonAppetito, you can dance in ‘silence’ and, of course, eat very well too.
De Parade in Rotterdam, June 21 to 30
What started as a theatre festival has grown into, well, perhaps the biggest open-air flirting festival. Is it because of the jugs of Sangria being downed en masse or the sultry carousel? Either way: there are still theatre performances, and plenty to eat too. And to flirt—did we mention that already?
Leiden Culinair in Leiden, June 27 to 30
Restaurants from Leiden and the surrounding area pull out all the stops during Leiden Culinair. Discover new restaurants, learn more about your trusted local pub and dance a little.
Fête du Champagne in Amsterdam, June 28 to 30
Champagne all day at this champagne festival. Which champagne goes best with foie gras? And with strawberries? And why can you drink our favorite bubbly all evening without a hangover? Learn and taste during Fête du Champagne. And because champagne is a wine that pairs wonderfully with food, there is plenty of choice to go with your bubbles. Champagne, anyone?
