Our weekly cocktail night can’t go wrong with a perfectly shaken Pornstar Martini or Toblerone cocktail. But hold on, because alongside gross dishes, plenty of nauseating drinks are also served around the world. Anyone fancy a glass of wine with Chinese baby mice? WHAAAAATTTTT?!
Canadian cocktail with sour toes
This classic has been on the menu since 1973 at the exclusive Sourtoe Cocktail Club bar in Yukon. To be allowed in, you have to be a member—and you become a member by drinking a shot of the cocktail with a mummified human toe in it. You can drink it as quickly or slowly as you like, as long as your lips touch the toe. So… who dares?
Chinese baby mouse wine
Yes, really. Our mouths fell open when we saw the bottle (it’s so bizarre that we’re not even showing it). But in China and Korea, people really do drink this. The bottle of rice wine contains at least 12 baby mice, which ferment in the bottle for a year or longer. Curious what it tastes like? Apparently, just like gasoline.
Walrus-ball beer from Iceland
Uh, what? Beer brewed from walrus testicles? This controversial beer has been brewed on the island for centuries and served with several Icelandic dishes. The beer is brewed from the testicles of a walrus, which can weigh around 6 to 10 kilos (!). Because the testicles are smoked, the Dung-smoked Whale Testicle beer also has a subtle smoky flavor.

This remarkable drink has more of a jelly-like texture and is made from rice wine containing ground tuna eyeballs. It is said to combat skin aging and is also packed with vitamin E. Drinkers wisely advise you not to smell the drink, but to knock it back immediately. Very sensible.
