This is the most delicious sauce there is (with just 3 ingredients!)

Tahini sojasaus

The sauce is the star of every dish. It doesn’t matter what you’re making. Chicken? Dry and boring without sauce. Fries? Just cardboard sticks if you can’t dip them in sauce. And why do you think salad is sometimes called rabbit food? If it has a good dressing on it, that word won’t even cross your mind. Today we’re sharing the most delicious sauce with you—one that goes well with absolutely everything and that you can make with just three ingredients.

From garlic sauce to cheese sauce, and from dumpling sauce to homemade Big Mac sauce: our sauce cookbook has become quite substantial by now. Many sauces are the +1 of a specific dish. Dumpling sauce, for example, isn’t called dumpling sauce for nothing.

But the sauce you’re getting to know today is a crowd-pleaser. Whether you pour it over a piece of meat, your salad or your fries, it all works. You can even dip your chicken nuggets in it, and I’m convinced it would also taste great on your chips. So make it!

Three ingredients work their magic in this sauce

How do you make it? Simple; I already told you that you only need to mix three ingredients together. In this case, those are tahini, soy sauce and water. Tahini tastes nutty and slightly bitter. Soy sauce is wonderfully umami and therefore balances the bitterness of the tahini nicely. It also adds some saltiness. Water dilutes the mixture, making it easy to drizzle over your dish.

The right proportions

The proportions are as follows: 1 tablespoon of tahini, 1 teaspoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of water. In this case, the amount of each product corresponds to the number of people you’re making the sauce for. So if that’s 4 people, the proportions become 4 tablespoons of tahini, 4 teaspoons of soy sauce and 4 tablespoons of water.

Extra tips

The easiest way to whisk the sauce until smooth is with a whisk. Is the sauce too smooth for your taste? Then add a little extra tahini. If you find the sauce too thick, you can thin it with some extra water. The power of this sauce lies in the three ingredients that come together here.

But if you’d like to add something else: you do you. For example, think of chopped garlic, a dollop of mayo or some grated ginger.
