This is where you want to go: a cheese theme park
Haaallelujah, this really sounds like heaven on earth. Especially for me, as a theme park lover. Just last week I was in Disneyland and had the time of my life, but on second thought, maybe I chose the wrong theme park after all…
Because back then, I didn’t yet know that something like a cheese theme park existed. Yep, let that sink in for a moment. A CHEESE THEME PARK.
This is where you’ll find Cheese Themepark: Cheesepark
Cheesepark has actually been around since 2004, and it’s honestly a disgrace that I’m only finding out about it now. I absolutely love cheese, in all shapes and sizes. The person who orders the stinkiest cheese pizza? Yep, that’s me. Or the person who eats a cheese board with even more stinky cheeses afterward without a hint of embarrassment? That’s me too. And apparently I need to go to South Korea, because that’s where Cheesepark is located.
But what exactly does a cheese theme park involve? To be completely honest, I had the wildest fantasies about roller coasters where you sit in a mouse-shaped car and zoom through all kinds of holey cheese, or a water ride where you race through a cheese factory in milk channels… But unfortunately, none of those kinds of attractions are there. What you can do is taste lots of cheese (thank goodness), learn about all kinds of cheeses and even learn how to make them yourself. Pretty educational, then.
There is one small downside
The entire Cheesepark looks a little tame. As in: the goat farm in Amsterdamse Bos seems just as thrilling to me. But it does have a laser tag room and, for inexplicable reasons, statues of The Sound Of Music, which I fully approve of because it’s one of my favorite films. And this only means that there’s still a gap in the market for a real, extraordinary, over-the-top theme park—including roller coasters—dedicated to cheese. Maybe it’s time I started looking for investors for this brilliant plan.
