This trick lets you make super-fast chicken satay

A BBQ without satay is like fries without mayonnaise. Whether you go for saté kambing or spicy chicken satay, BBQ and satay simply belong together. The only minor downside of this BBQ favorite is that threading the chicken onto the skewers can often take a lot of time. But with this trick, you’ll be done in no time from now on.

Normally, you first cut the chicken breast (or thigh) into pieces and then thread them onto the skewer one by one. One by one… and that’s for all 25 friends coming to the BBQ. Before you know it, you’ve spent 1.5 hours threading chicken satay. It can be faster!
How to make chicken satay super fast
Instead of cutting the chicken into cubes, cut it lengthwise into long strips. Then push the skewers crosswise through the strips of chicken, so that the strips are threaded horizontally onto the skewers. Next, cut the chicken into pieces along the skewers and you’re done. Easy, right? This way, you can make 5 or 6 satays at once, super quickly. Time-saving!
