You can now buy a Frikandel Speciaal Pizza at Lidl

Do you love snacking? Then you really need to keep an eye on Lidl, because believe us: things can’t get crazy enough there. Only recently, we spread a Kapsalon salad on our sandwich, and now there’s a Frikandel Speciaal Pizza at Lidl. And it’s actually much tastier than you might expect.

Freakandel combinations
Incidentally, Lidl isn’t the only one coming up with the most insane crossovers. During previous visits to other supermarkets, for example, we came across a frikandel salad: an incredibly salty bite with microscopically small pieces of frikandel, and the pizza with sausage rolls was no success either. What we’re trying to say is: not everything gets tastier with a frikandel, and randomly topping a pizza doesn’t always turn out well either.
Frikandel Speciaal Pizza
That said, we did thoroughly enjoy the frikandel quiche from the Airfryer. So why stop there? Besides, the Frikandel Speciaal Pizza, now available at Lidl for €2.99, is a classic. It was also available a few years ago, and it turned out to be such a hit that they’ve brought it back into the range, especially for the European Championship.

Turkish pizza base
A pizza with frikandel—what does it taste like? According to our Snackspert, much better than you might expect based on the words ‘pizza’ and ‘frikandel’ in one dish. Snackspert: ‘In fact, it’s surprisingly delicious. First of all, choosing a Turkish pizza base is an excellent choice, because with an Italian base the pizza would have become much soggier. The frikandels with onions and Hela curry are top quality; it’s just a real shame that the pieces of frikandel fall off the pizza so quickly. What I would suggest: cut them into slices à la pepperoni, which makes eating this pizza much easier.’

Thick goalposts
Can’t get crazy enough for you, and is your life motto ‘the more brown happiness sticks, the better’? Then pick up a box of 18 thick goalposts as well. That’s one and a half kilos of frikandels for less than four euros, ready to roll around in hot oil.
