tunamelt

We love the quintessential Dutch cheese sandwich, but sometimes we feel like having a different delicious lunch. That’s when these sandwiches come to the rescue.

Vietnamese banh mi

Banh mi literally means sandwich in Vietnamese and is truly the sandwich of all sandwiches. It comes with different kinds of meat, rich sauces, pickled vegetables and sometimes even a fried egg. Excess all around.

Pastrami with ras el hanout

A pastrami sandwich is a Jewish classic. Peter Lute makes his version with ras el hanout, couscous and freshly picked herbs. But if you don’t have much of a green thumb, you can simply buy them too.

Arepa

You can get this snack on every street corner in Venezuela, but it’s also easy to make yourself. An arepa pabellón is filled with pulled beef, black beans, cheese, fried plantain and hot sauce.

Sloppy Joe

The Sloppy Joe is a comfort sandwich like no other. The white bun with spicy-sweet minced meat sauce was first made in America around 1930, and it’s impossible to eat without making a mess.

Caps’ Classic

Move over peanut butter & jelly, because the Caps’ Classic takes things one step further. American peanut butter, sambal and rosehip jam: a daring combination you simply have to try.

Tuna melt

This warm sandwich with canned tuna and lots of melted cheese is the ultimate lunch. Make sure the cheese is bubbling, until it’s just as brown as you like it.
