Carroll’s burgers in Amsterdam-Noord are irresistible

This time, he’s recommending a place in the city center where you can eat the most delicious juicy burgers.

Carroll’s irresistible burgers
Sometimes you’re walking down the street and you see someone attractive on the other side and think hiiii there, wow, looking back for a moment, yes, I don’t dare, what a shame, keep walking. Maybe you’ll have that same reaction to this burger from Carroll’s in Amsterdam-Noord; you scrolled past it quickly, but still have to scroll back because wow, this looks damn good. I can’t blame you: this is the Seoulful Smashterpiece: a smash burger with two patties (Oklahoma-style patties; lots of onion in them), kimchi, daikon (a type of radish), Gruyère cheese and Japanese mayonnaise. Really delicious, the kimchi is sour enough, the burger patties are wonderfully tender, and Japanese mayonnaise is actually one of the best mayos you can put on your burger. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ½
The loaded fries (see second photo), or the Gangnam-style fries to be precise, are deliciously sharp thanks to the sriracha, wasabi and kimchi, but they’re missing a little sweetness. The garlic and spring onion don’t bring any balance—in fact, quite the opposite. The fries themselves, however, are fantastic. I’ll let it slide. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ½
Finally, the smash burger, also made with Oklahoma-style patties: very good, not super surprising, but excellently executed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Maybe my loyal followers have noticed: these burgers look an awful lot like The Beef Chief. I think it’s important to mention that; the buns are virtually identical, the Seoulful Smashterpiece is somewhat similar to the Kimchief, and the Gangnam-style fries are practically a copy of the competitor’s Gangnam fries elsewhere in Noord. Only lower in quality. Of course, Neapolitan pizzerias in Amsterdam also resemble one another, but that strange aftertaste remains. Let me emphasize that these really are fantastic burgers, and that Carroll’s is located opposite the ferry to Central Station and the Pontsteiger, which is a truly fantastic location. So make of the information I’ve just given you what you will; it certainly won’t stop me from getting that Seoulful again while waiting for the ferry. It was absolutely phenomenal.
