Cook a Three-Michelin-Star Menu Together with Jonnie Boer

LibrijeWorkshop-Favorflav

A cooking workshop? Not happening. Dinner at De Librije? Cross it off. But chef Jonnie and sommelier Thérèse are practical types, so they’ve come up with a solution. Via a live connection with the kitchen at De Librije, you can cook your own three-Michelin-star menu together with Jonnie. Brilliant idea!

It all starts with a box of ingredients, which you order from De Librije. The box contains everything you need to cook at star level in your own perfectly ordinary kitchen. And don’t panic, because Jonnie and his sous-chefs Oliver and Nelson will help you along. When the big evening arrives, you connect to the kitchen at De Librije via Zoom, and the top chefs take you through the menu step by step.

Veal cheeks

The menu sounds ambitious: veal cheeks, brook trout, and a dessert featuring flavors from Drenthe, but the head chef assures us that everyone should be able to manage it. If you have an oven, pans and a chef’s knife, you can get started. The package also contains two matching wines, selected by Thérèse, so that should work out nicely too. The chef is strict, though: via Zoom, he wants proof that you’re cooking and to see what your plates look like in the end. What do you think—are you up for it?
