For all wine lovers: Gastrovino’s XXL Winetasting
The festival season has begun! From the Oyster Festival to wine extravaganzas: mark your calendar. If you love wine, you definitely won’t want to miss Gastrovino’s XXL Winetasting. On June 2, more than 75 wines will be open for you to sniff and taste at this wine festival in The Hague.
On Sunday, June 2, the entire grounds of Gastrovino La Liguria Scheveningen will be transformed into a true wine paradise. With a wide selection of stalls, both indoors and outdoors, there is something for every taste. Wines from all over the world will be opened—from Riesling to Pinot Grigio and from Cabernet Sauvignon to Tempranillo—and the best part: sommeliers and wine experts will be on hand to tell you all about the wines being poured.
You’ll also receive a tasting booklet in which you can rate the wines you sample, so that even after an entire afternoon of wine tasting, you’ll still know exactly which ones are your favorites. Oh, and a small tip: leave your perfume at home.
Line your stomach
Drinking wine all afternoon without eating: not a good idea (I speak from experience). Gastrovino’s XXL Winetasting is about more than just wine. There will be live music and plenty to line your stomach. Juicy oysters, Italian sharing platters, pinsas and summery dishes from the OFYR BBQ will make sure you don’t wobble home.
Outdoor bar
Finished tasting? Then the Bar-de-Mus (outdoor bar) will be ready for you to enjoy a post-tasting drink in the sunshine. Want to stay for dinner? There is an Italian two-course menu. Tickets cost €39.50 per person, including a glass of bubbly in the restaurant. And the best part: during dinner, all the open wines from the tasting can be ordered for €5 per glass. Want to be sure of a spot at the dinner table? Reservations are recommended, as places are limited.

Tickets for Gastrovino’s XXL Winetasting cost €24.50 per person, including the wine tasting and excluding food, which can be ordered at the various stalls. Feeling warmed up? The next edition will take place on September 1, 2024.
