Spicy chicken sandwich from Broodje van Bootje in Diemen
A while ago, I wrote on @pshetparool about Broodje van Bootje in Diemen, located on the industrial estate—Verrijn Stuartweg, to be precise. And yes, Broodje van Bootje isn’t in a building but in a simple food truck. Nothing more, nothing less. Love it. You can buy a spicy chicken sandwich there and no, it doesn’t stand out for its heat, but rather for its QUANTITY. As if a bukka—no, never mind, respectable people read this too—but as if a fire hose had gone off all over this sandwich. The grease drips off it so intensely that even the best detergent can’t remove it, good grief. But it’s packed; the chicken is well seasoned and nicely spicy, could be a little more tender, but the addition of a bit of sour cucumber provides a lovely balance. I can understand why people come here for lunch, even though they could perhaps get a healthy sandwich in the company cafeteria on Diemen’s industrial estate. I understand their choice. And at that price! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
