These 19 Albert Heijn products have been crowned Best Product of the Year
Since 2014, the ‘Best Product of the Year’ election has been organized in the Netherlands. A total of 223 products competed in the latest edition, and nearly 50,000 consumers rated their favorite product via the ‘Best Product of the Year’ website. In addition to the prize haul at Aldi, Albert Heijn also won big this year; 19 own-brand products were voted ‘best product of the year’.
A large proportion of the 19 products are Price Favorites: Albert Heijn’s lower-priced own-brand products, recognizable by the blue thumbs-up icon.
AH Wholegrain organic penne rigate
Among others, AH SPRANK apples (in the ‘Fruit snack’ category), AH Wholegrain organic penne rigate (in the ‘Pasta’ category), AH Hygienic citrus wipes (in the ‘Cleaning products’ category), AH All-in-1 extra-dry lemon dishwasher tablets (in the ‘Dishwashing detergents’ category) and the AH vegan frikandel roll (in the ‘Filled rolls’ category) were voted best in their respective categories.
AH Overblijvers packages
Albert Heijn also won the award in the ‘sustainability’ category with AH Overblijvers: products left over at the end of the day that are nearing their use-by date or are being removed from the range. A selection of these products is now also available to buy as an AH Overblijvers package. In the AH app, you can see which packages are available at a store near you. You can reserve them and pick them up at the store at the end of the day—the concept behind Too Good To Go.
