Why French McDonald’s Is a Huge Farce
Instagram phenomenon @snackspert, known in mayonnaise circles as Eke Bosman, knows where to go for the best snacks. Whether it’s the acclaimed loempidel or the best pizza in Amsterdam: Snackspert shows you the way. And sometimes he tells you where to give a wide berth. French McDonald’s, for example: perhaps the worst McDo in the world.
A burger that looks old, a meager selection, tough buns, meat that has been sitting around too long, chicken nuggets that look as if a car has driven over them, cheese that doesn’t melt… the list of complaints from people who visit French McDonald’s seems endless. Our Snackspert is also deeply disappointed by this McDonald’s. And when you see the photos of the McSignature, you immediately understand why.

French McDonald’s! According to many, perhaps the worst McDonald’s in the world, because while you can get a McRib in Germany and even a truly delicious burger with Parmesan cheese in Italy, the French Maccie is a bit of a letdown. The McSignature with comté and ham is fine, but the cheese is far too cold, and the same goes for the ham. The sauce is wonderfully sweet and creamy, though, so that saves the whole thing. The McRoyal Deluxe, on the other hand, is actually somewhat comparable to the Big Tasty here, but without bacon and with an intensely sharp mustard sauce. You have to be into that.

So is there nothing enjoyable about French McDonald’s? Yes, there is: the hard plastic fry boxes and cups. They are therefore taken home en masse.
