11 unsettling food photos you’ll want to forget as soon as possible

There should be a word for things you want to see, but also want to forget again as soon as possible. And we could then use that word for this collection of photos. We can only guess what exactly is going on with the people (and the food) in the photos, and at the same time, you’d rather not let your imagination take that turn. So: look at your own risk.

After seeing these photos, do you still fancy casino bread? Do you suddenly crave a delicious omelet or tzatziki when you see people covered from head to toe in broken eggs or cucumber slices? And what on earth is going on with that tomato soup in women’s shoes? Ew, actually, we don’t want to know.

Enormous mountains of food
If you get curious and start Googling food fetish (check your privacy settings first, otherwise you may end up with system administration or a worried partner at your desk), you’ll come across, among other things, a Canadian man who wants to eat fries off someone’s stomach, people who get excited about Crocs and the – new to me – concept of mukbang: people who make money by filming themselves devouring enormous mountains of food while chatting with other people. Need an antidote? Calm your soul with innocent photos of animals trying to steal food or the man who cooks for his cats; you’ll feel better afterward.
